Reusing, Recycling Your Cam Show Content

Reusing, Recycling Your Cam Show Content

When you’re a cam model, feeling overwhelmed can seem like part of the job. The ever-evolving business of adult content sales usually includes livestream broadcasting and catering to the correspondence in your inbox — all while generating a steady flow of fresh, sellable clips and pics. In fact, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey over the years, it is that success really hinges on the consistency of your content uploads and camming appearances. I call it “feeding the fishes” because, much like a beloved house pet, subscribers need daily nourishment.

So, how do you operate at your highest level of productivity while still conserving precious energy to ensure creativity and inspiration keep flowing?

Building out a map or ‘show flow’ of how you will spend your time on camera will provide some very intentional moments to pinpoint and extract for your repurposed content.

My favorite hack is maximizing the return on livestreamed content. This is a fantastic way to further monetize work you’ve already performed, and there are many ways to repurpose those recordings. Just be sure to prepare and follow up, by taking the following steps.

Nail the Setup

Let’s address the essentials first. Ensure that your current streaming setup is as professional as possible. How is your camera quality? Is your connection speed ideal? How is your lighting? Your audio? Is your framing complimentary? If you and your fan base are satisfied with the look of your stream, prepare to record your next broadcast. Whether you choose to take a screen recording from your computer itself or set up an additional camera, make sure you figure out where you need to look when directly addressing the camera, both for your active livestream and the content you will be creating from the recording.

Build a Show Flow Map

Building out a map or “show flow” of how you will spend your time on camera will provide some very intentional moments to pinpoint and extract for your repurposed content. For example, if you like to stream for two to three hours, plan for some calculated tip goal rewards that will become sellable clip content. If your first goal is a striptease or a JOI, you can easily repurpose that as a clip to sell at a later date.

Remember that it’s not just your goals that make great clips. You can also crop out some of your conversational moments, games or funny bloopers that showcase your raw and beautiful authenticity. Bonus tip: the safe-for-work moments of your livestream can also be turned into sensational social media posts that will help convert your followers on those platforms into paid subscribers.

Explore Multiple Content Types

The possibilities of reutilizing your livestream recordings are truly endless. From thematic compilation reels to personalized custom content — like splicing together all of the direct addresses you make to your top fans — you can build a bustling backlog of clips to sprinkle into the fish tank. And it isn’t just video clips, either: screen grabs of your favorite poses and performance moments can be transformed into a scintillating picture gallery. There is a plethora of video editing apps and software that can streamline and simplify this process, even for an absolute beginner. I personally cut all of my content on the Splice app, and I love playing with the massive selection of post effects and royalty-free music.

Once you start working this repurposing plan into your productions, remember to inform your viewers that there will be plenty of upcoming opportunities to revisit special moments from your broadcast. Motivate your viewers to escalate their interaction, so you can keep saying their name in direct addresses — and later sell them a custom clip that becomes a sentimental keepsake.
